How to actually get into oud
Oud covers an enormous range, from the sweet, clean, rose-tinted interpretations that most niche houses use, through to real distilled agarwood that smells of barnyard, leather and old wood before it settles into something extraordinary. The two experiences have very little in common, and buying a full bottle of the wrong one is an expensive mistake.
This collection spans both ends, from Amouage, Roja Dove and Maison Francis Kurkdjian through to Ensar Oud, Bortnikoff and El Khaldi. Every one is available in 1ml, 2ml, 5ml and 10ml, poured to order from sealed bottles.
If you are starting out, our oud guide lays out the difference and suggests an order to try them in.
