Every fragrance here is available as a sample or decant in 1ml, 2ml, 5ml and 10ml, drawn from a sealed bottle when you order rather than sitting pre-filled on a shelf. That covers around 120 fragrances across 46 houses, from Amouage, Creed, Xerjoff and Louis Vuitton through to Toskovat, Ensar Oud, Bortnikoff and Adi Ale Van.

The point of a decant is time. A blotter tells you almost nothing, and a shop assistant tells you less. Two millilitres gives you a week of proper wearings, in your own weather, on your own skin, before you spend full-bottle money.
