The Story

Decision 42 is the 2026 extrait of Decision, one of Amouage's Exceptional Extraits, at 42% concentration. Quentin Bisch keeps its question, whether lightning destroys a juniper tree or pushes it toward a deeper life, and makes it more urgent: sharper spice in the strike, a smokier juniper, a warmer base.

Fragrance Character

Pink pepper, cardamom and cinnamon open sharp and hot under a bright flash of bergamot and neroli. Juniper follows, darker and smokier than in Decision, with frankincense, myrrh and the tarry edge of rectified pine tar, while sandalwood rounds out the middle. The base settles into labdanum and vanilla over patchouli and cedarwood, warm, slightly sweet and slow to leave the skin.

Best Worn

Autumn and winter nights bring out its smoke and spice best. It suits dressed-up dinners and late evenings out, and anyone who likes their incense with real bite.

The Maison

Amouage

Frankincense and rose at royal scale, sampled without the leap of faith a full bottle asks for.

Amouage does not do quiet. Every bottle feels built for a room you have to earn your way into, all high ceilings, incense in the air and light coming through something precious. The house pours frankincense, rose and oud like it has an endless supply, and the results wear big and last long without ever tipping into loud for its own sake.
