The Story

Adi Ale Van is a Romanian artisan house, and the name Diamonitirion is the permit a pilgrim must carry to enter Mount Athos. It builds a fragrance of stillness and devotion: dusty paper, beeswax candles and resinous incense, the air of a place given over entirely to prayer.

Fragrance Character

Bright lime and cardamom open it before the heart turns contemplative: old paper, candle wax and a trinity of resins (opoponax, olibanum, myrrh) burning low. The drydown stays warm and balsamic, amber and soft musk over raw resin. It moves like vespers, unhurried and inward.

Best Worn

Cold winter and autumn evenings, a contemplative, resinous incense for the adventurous fragrance lover and for dressed-up occasions after dark, smouldering low like candle wax and burning myrrh.

The Maison

Adi Ale Van

Hand painted bottles, memories distilled. Ritual and childhood smoke poured into wearable sculpture.

Adi Ale Van treats a fragrance like a small piece of folklore, drawing on old Romanian faith, ritual and memory and translating them into something you can actually wear. One moment you are standing in candle smoke and church incense, the next you are in a warm kitchen full of vanilla and rum.
