Nadège Le Garlantezec has loved perfume since childhood. She graduated from ISIPCA and joined Givaudan, where in 2006, early in her career, she won the International Young Perfumer-Creator Award. In 2014 she took on two restorations: Courrèges In Blue, Edouard Fléchier's 1983 chypre, and Carven Vétiver, first composed by Edouard Hache in 1957, for its relaunch.
Her formulas run short, and she works from the emotion a scent can raise rather than from a list of materials. Much of her larger work is shared with Givaudan colleagues: L'Occitane Terre de Lumière (2017) with Calice Becker and Shyamala Maisondieu, Lancôme Idôle (2019) with Shyamala Maisondieu and Adriana Medina, and Prada Paradoxe (2022) with Antoine and Shyamala Maisondieu. Under her own name she signed Boucheron Quatre, Liquides Imaginaires L'Ile Pourpre (2016), with shiso, black fig and fenugreek, and Navis (2022), a ship at sea in pink pepper, grapefruit, cedar, oakmoss and brown seaweed.
For Clara and John Molloy she has composed four Memo Paris eaux de parfum: Cap Camarat, Flåm, Inverness and Cassiopeia Rose. The same couple founded Floraïku in 2017, and its Sand and Skin shares ylang-ylang, vanilla absolute and amyris with Cap Camarat, set here over sandalwood, benzoin and labdanum.
