Incense at home, absolutes abroad

Place de la Rêverie does not name its founder. His story begins with the incense his mother burned at home and turns in the Middle East, where he met rich absolutes and a culture that treats scent as something sacred and shared. The company behind the house, Reverie Parfums, was registered in Paris in August 2021, with Mohamed Diaby as president and an address on rue de Rivoli. Each perfume is composed by an independent perfumer, picked for talent and for the freedom they bring.

Paris and the Riviera at extrait strength

Every perfume in the range is an extrait at 30 per cent. Place de la Rêverie Santal de Paris, composed by Nathalie Feisthauer, makes sandalwood creamy and powdered: lily and amyris, then ambrette, then sandalwood, vanilla, amber, Ambroxan and benzoin. Passion Riviera pictures a sunset on the Côte d'Azur, peach and orange flower set against agarwood. Fève Nectar, from 2026, pairs raw cacao and tonka bean with orange flower. In October 2025 Santal de Paris reached number one on Fragrantica's trending list.

Concentrate in Grasse, months of rest

The formula stays secret, and the house signs it off before anything is made. The concentrate is produced in Grasse, then left to mature and macerate for several months until its facets settle into balance. It is chilled and filtered in the traditional way for clarity, and only then bottled, fitted with a magnetic cap, labelled in the house colours and boxed. The company address is on rue de Rivoli in Paris; the juice itself is made in Grasse.
