Caden opens with a burnt, resinous smoke: cade juniper driving a sharp, tarry intensity through saffron-laced booze and the warm snap of cardamom, before the composition settles into deep suede, labdanum, and a long vanilla-tonka base that clings close to the skin for hours.

Fragrance Character

The opening is immediate and assertive, saffron and cade juniper projecting a dark, smoky edge cut through with alcoholic warmth and cardamom spice. Cistus and benzoin draw the smoke inward, softening it with resin and leather; coffee sharpens the suede without sweetening it. The base is slow and weighty, amberwood and guaiac holding the labdanum and tonka in a dry, close-skin amber that lingers long after the smoke has cleared.

Best Worn

Made for cold nights and formal occasions when a fragrance is expected to announce itself, then stay, this suits the deliberate dresser who wears black in autumn.
