Ensar Oud - Jamaican Ambergris: Purple Sultani

Purple Sultani layers three grams of aged, purple-matured oud into a foundation of decades-old grey ambergris, the result simultaneously oceanic and deeply resinous, a dry beach accord threaded with jasmine sambac, frangipani, and Mysore sandalwood slowly drawn into the earth.

The Story

The cornerstone of Jamaican Ambergris is grey ambergris sourced from a royal patron's private collection, aged over decades before use. The Purple Sultani edition builds on this base by introducing a Purple Melange of legendary vintage ouds, each carried to purple maturity, diffused through super-king Maroke oud incense. That aged amber foundation grounds a salty ocean-breeze accord lifted by Georgian rose and red frangipani.

Fragrance Character

The opening is dense and immediate: aged grey ambergris, dry and faintly saline, meeting the dark barn-and-incense weight of Maroke oud and Terengganu. Through the heart, Georgian rose and jasmine sambac surface with clarity before being folded back into massoia bark, peru balsam, and oakmoss. By the drydown, bourbon vanilla and Mysore sandalwood soften everything into a warm resinous skin-scent that holds quietly for hours.
