Ensar Oud - Musk Yusuf

Musk Yusuf opens on a skin of bruised stone fruit, apricot and peach bleeding into frangipani and orange blossom before Tibetan musk and Thai oud pull everything into something animal and resinous. Saffron and clove run through the floral core like a seam of rust, keeping the sweetness from ever softening into sentiment.

The Nose

An Ensar Oud composition from the artisan agarwood house of master distiller Ensar Oud, who hand-distils and blends his own single-origin oud and musk oils.

Fragrance Character

The fruit is brief but vivid, dropping off quickly as jasmine and mimosa thicken the heart into a dense, almost waxy floral. Clove and saffron keep the composition warm and slightly metallic. On the drydown, Thai oud rises with the Tibetan musk to create a deep, earthy skin accord that projects broadly at first, then settles into a close, animalic warmth that persists for hours.
