Folkwinds - Crimson and Clover

Crimson and Clover opens with the sharp, fermented bite of cranberry and apple cider cut through with clove and ginger, then settles into a smoke-threaded interior of green tobacco, Thai oud, hay, and sweet clover before the base spreads wide: American oak, red spruce, castoreum, cigar leaf, Rosa rugosa, and the slow caramel pull of Vermont maple and honey over dual oud registers.

Fragrance Character

The opening crackles with tart fruit and spice, projecting with real force before green tobacco and amyris draw it inward. In the heart, oud and cassia add dry resinous heat while hay and vetiver keep it grounded and slightly wild. The drydown is long and enveloping, all woodsmoke, beeswax, musk, and amber, wearing close to skin but never quite releasing its grip.

Best Worn

Made for the cold half of the year and the hours after dark, for wood fires, wool, and the specific pleasure of a room that smells like it has history.
