The Story
Amouage first sold this in 2025 as Sindbad, in Oman only; the house says Elsewhere is the same juice, now released worldwide. It belongs to The Essences, the one Amouage line given an extended ageing ritual: six months of bio ethanol in oakwood barrels, six months of concentrate infused with sandalwood chips, then two weeks of maceration.

Cypriol, or nagarmotha, is the oil of Cyperus scariosus, a wetland sedge growing wild in the marshy riverbeds of Madhya Pradesh, India. The dried rhizomes and roots are crushed and steam-distilled, yielding under a tenth of a percent of a thick, dark amber oil.
