Xerjoff - Erba Gold

Erba Gold opens with a burst of sun-warmed citrus, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon sharp and clean against Brazilian orange, before spiced fruit takes over: melon, pear, and green apple threaded through with cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves, all settling onto a base of Madagascar vanilla, amber, and white musk.

Fragrance Character

The opening is vivid and wide-projecting, the citrus bright and slightly peppery from the ginger before the fruit heart asserts itself. Cardamom and cloves give the melon and pear a warm, slightly aromatic edge that keeps it from reading as merely sweet. On drydown, vanilla and amber draw it close to skin, where the musk holds it softly for hours.

Autumn evenings call for this most naturally, the spiced fruit landing well against cool air, though its warmth carries equally well through the first cold weeks of winter.
