Sospiro is Italian for a soft sigh. The Turin house names its perfumes for musical and cinematic ideas, then makes them live up to the drama: polished, confident compositions that feel lit from within, warm and deep and built to hold their shape for hours. Both of ours log 8 to 10 hours on skin.
Every decant is poured from a bottle bought at full retail from the house, never the grey market, drawn to order with lab grade Socorex syringes and sealed the day it ships.

The verdict
Il Padrino is the pick, for anyone who wants the room to know they are wearing something. Black currant and rum open with a dark, almost bruised sweetness, amaretto lands like a slow exhale of almond liqueur, and amber, patchouli and Siam benzoin settle into a warm balsamic finish that runs 8 to 10 hours with Enormous sillage. A 2 ml decant is $17.
Vibrato
Vibrato is the one the house is known for, and the daytime answer. Grapefruit and bergamot crack open like citrus peel in sunlight, magnolia and jasmine soften the edge, ginger sparks through a powdery heart, and cedar, patchouli and orris root pull the base dense and skin close. Christian Provenzano composed this eau de parfum to work like its name, a bright opening kept moving over a base that does not shift. Logged at 8 to 10 hours with Strong sillage. $17 for 2 ml, $41 for 5 ml, $68 for 10 ml.
Il Padrino
Il Padrino takes its title at face value. Nathalie Templer and Salah Al Zarooni poured black currant, rum and amaretto over amber, patchouli and sandalwood, theatrical by design rather than by accident. In the drydown, vanilla and Siam benzoin melt into a honeyed resinous haze while labdanum keeps an animalic whisper going long after everything else has faded. An eau de parfum and a genuine powerhouse, with a room filling trail. Same ladder: $17 for 2 ml, $41 for 5 ml, $68 for 10 ml.

Take both in 2 ml, $34 all in. Wear Vibrato through a working day and Il Padrino through an evening, then let your skin settle the question before you look at a $431 bottle.
