Zoologist - Tyrannosaurus Rex
Resinous, primal, and built on geological scale, Tyrannosaurus Rex opens with a sharp crack of fir, black pepper, and bay leaf before collapsing into a dense core of florals, smoke, and ancient woods.
The Nose
Composed by Antonio Gardoni for Zoologist, also behind Bogue MAAI and Bogue O/E.

Fragrance Character
The opening is immediate and unsettling, all coniferous resin and spice cutting through bergamot and neroli like cold air through a forest. In the heart, champaca, osmanthus, and ylang-ylang soften the aggression without taming it, adding a humid, almost carnal richness. The drydown is where it truly settles: kyara incense, cade oil, and civet pressing close to skin, smoky and animalic, fading slowly into cedar, patchouli, and vanilla.

Best Worn
This belongs to winter evenings and dark formal occasions, worn by someone who treats fragrance as a statement of presence rather than pleasantry.
Why the Tyrannosaurus Rex Decant
Kyara incense and cade oil at this density make Tyrannosaurus Rex a serious commitment, and a decant lets you gauge whether its uncompromising animalic smoke is a match before investing in a full bottle.
