Sospiro - Il Padrino

Black currant and rum open Il Padrino with a dark, almost bruised sweetness, the amaretto landing like a slow exhale of almond liqueur before bergamot lifts the edges into something almost crisp. Beneath, amber and patchouli settle into a dense, resinous core that labdanum and Siam benzoin pull toward a warm, balsamic finish.

Fragrance Character

The opening is loud and unapologetic, rum and black currant bleeding into each other with a candied intensity that commands a room. As patchouli and sandalwood take hold in the heart, the sweetness firms up and darkens, less confection, more velvet. The drydown is pure warmth, vanilla and benzoin clinging close to skin in a slow, amber-stained finish.

This belongs to winter evenings and late-night rooms, worn by someone who dresses deliberately and does not mind being noticed.
