Nathalie Templer studied chemistry in France and spent three years at a small Grasse company, seeing production, quality control, R&D and sales. She then worked for ten years at Mane as a perfumer-analyst, a GC/MS specialist who knew natural and synthetic materials one by one, including two years in its Dubai office. Expressions Parfumées, the Grasse house acquired by Givaudan, gave her the move to perfumer, and by 2019 she had lived in Dubai for five years.
She treats naturals and synthetics as partners, since Gulf clients want projection and long wear. Sospiro, the Italian house that opened its Dubai chapter in 2022, lists her among its perfumers. Il Padrino, the Sospiro we carry, opens on dark rum, amaretto, blackcurrant and bergamot, then settles into amber and sandalwood over labdanum, vanilla wood and Siam benzoin.
