Harry Sherwood is a perfumer and philosopher of olfaction who runs Artifiscent, a scent design studio. Past commissions include the smell of Play-Doh for an artist's exhibition and the smell of an old armchair for a smartphone launch. Most of his work now goes into candles and cosmetics, and he takes part in research into how the sense of smell works.
When Covid-19 left many people with lost or distorted smell, the charity AbScent asked him to design the scents for its smell-training kits. In 2020 he researched and made the scents for Too Good To Go's scratch-and-sniff labels, which let people recognise how a food smells once it has really gone off.
