The Antagonist The Void on video: what does nothing smell like?

Twelve seconds, no words. The Void's raw, blackened flacon comes out of its box and onto the table, and the film asks the one question this fragrance raises: what does nothing smell like?

What happens in the video

A hand sets the matte black bottle down, its ghost silhouette catching the light, then lifts the lid of the box to show the raffia inside. Five words appear over the footage: ash, petrol, smoke, charcoal, gunpowder. There is no narration, so there is no transcript.

What it smells like

The Void is the third chapter of a set written as a story, after The Lover and The Stranger, and the one that goes furthest. The Antagonist lists gasoline, smoke, gunpowder and woody notes on top; cannabis, metallic notes, incense and coal in the heart; and ash, rubber, basement air, frankincense and myrrh in the base. The premise is that destruction is where becoming starts.

Who it is for

It is for the wearer who reads that list and gets curious rather than cautious. The whole story, the accord map and how it performed in our wear tests are on the fragrance page.

Decants and the bottle

We decant The Void from an original 50 ml bottle into 2 ml, 5 ml and 10 ml atomizers when stock allows. When the decants sell out, the full bottle can still be ordered.
