MDCI Decants and Samples

MDCI treats perfumery the way a private collector treats a cellar, quietly commissioning some of the most respected noses in the craft and refusing to rush a formula. The result is a small, deliberate house where every release feels composed rather than churned out, all polished construction and old-world confidence. These are grown-up scents with real presence, the kind that reward slow wearing, which is exactly why they are worth meeting in a decant before you commit.

Every MDCI fragrance here is bought at full retail directly from the house, never the grey market. We pour each order by hand with lab-grade Socorex syringes into the sizes you see (commonly 1ml, 2ml, 5ml and 10ml), then measure and seal it the day it ships, so what reaches you is fresh and exactly what the house intended. It is the honest way to try before you commit to a full bottle.

The MDCI range

• Enlèvement au Sérail. Ylang-ylang and tuberose pressed close and heady, almost narcotic, then pulled back from pure sweetness by vetiver and dark patchouli. A white floral with weight and shadow. From $12.
• Chypre Palatin. Built on the classical bones of the great chypres, a green galbanum bite over aldehydic brightness that sinks into rose, iris and plum, turning darker and more powdered as it goes. Regal and long. From $12.
• Invasion Barbare. An almost electric open of violet leaf and grapefruit before lavender, cardamom and thyme make it denser and more inhabited, settling into warm patchouli and vanilla held close to the skin. A polished, confident everyday. From $12.

How to start

Start with a 2ml of whichever line speaks to you, or pick up all three and let them fight it out on your skin across a week. Once one keeps pulling you back, size up to a 5ml or 10ml before you ever think about a full bottle.
